PennDOT is posting new permanent weight restrictions on two bridges due to structural concerns revealed in recent inspections.

On Leraysville Road in Windham Township, a 20-ton limit for single-unit trucks and a 30-ton limit for combination vehicles is now in place on a bridge spanning Prince Hollow Run. The bridge was built in 1958 and carrying fewer than 900 vehicles a day.

On Cadis Road in Warren Township, a 16-ton limit for single-unit trucks and a 29-ton limit for combination vehicles has been placed on a steel I-beam bridge over Prince Hollow Run. The bridge was built in 1950 and sees fewer than 300 vehicles daily.

PennDOT says these weight limits are necessary to prevent damage and deterioration to the aging structures.
