Sayre, Pa. – The Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary, a longtime champion of community health and wellness, returns as the title sponsor of the 41st annual Guthrie Gallop. Registration is open for both the in-person event Saturday, May 17, and virtual option. More than 400 runners typically participate in the 5K and 10K races.

Starting at the historic Sayre Theatre, the Guthrie Gallop guides participants through Athens and Sayre boroughs. Those who prefer flexibility can participate virtually from May 12-16, completing their 5K or 10K at any location during Gallop week. The official course will be closed to virtual runners during the live race on May 17.

Every stride taken — whether in person or virtually — supports a vital cause, with all proceeds benefiting the Guthrie Cancer Care Fund.

“The Guthrie Gallop brings community together and the auxiliary recognizes the impact this has on our local area. We are glad to be the primary sponsor again this year,” said Kyle McDuffee, Robert Packer Hospital Auxiliary president.
