Sam’s Bar & Grill, a family-owned bar and restaurant in Sayre, is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its 6th Annual Quincey’s Cause Ride for Jamison, rounding out it’s annual “Summer of Giving”. This year’s event, raising nearly $11,000, marked the final benefit for the family of Quincey Root, a loyal customer and friend of Sam’s Bar & Grillwho tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident.

Quincey left behind a young son, Jamison, who became the beneficiary of this annual benefit. For the past 6 years, Sam’s Bar & Grill has partnered with other local businesses, organizations, community supporters and sponsors to raise money for Jamison’s future, nearly$81,900 in total.

Jeff Lantz, Sam’s Bar & Grill Owner said, “The annual Quincey’s Cause Ride for Jamison has been a testament to the compassion and unity of our community, and Sam’s Bar & Grill would like to extend its deepest gratitude to all the generous sponsors, businesses, organizations, and community members who have made this event possible year after year. Together, we have made a significant impact on the lives of Jamison and his family.”

At the generous request of Jamison’s family, the efforts surrounding the annual event will now be focused on another cause, allowing Sam’s to help additional local families in need.

Sam’s Bar & Grill has chosenKids Can’t Fight Cancer Alone (KCFCA), asthe new recipient of their annual benefit. KCFCA aims to alleviate the burdens that families may encounter during a cancer diagnosis while offering much-needed financial and emotional support.

This summer, during the kickoff event for KCFCA, Sam’s was able to help raise $4,511 for the organization. Event organizers hope the new annual benefit will continue to generate interest and support and grow each year to become an impactful community event that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

This summer, Sam’s also hosted a benefit for Brian Lee Sargent, affectionately known as “Sarge”, who passed away unexpectedly on June 28. Sarge served honorably in the US Army, and his true passion was Muay Thai – in which he made his dream come true by opening his own gym. More than $4,030 was raised for Sarge’s family to help cover funeral costs.

Since 2018, Sam’s has organized and hosted many benefits, helping to raise morethan $192,000 for various local causes. Sam’s next benefit will be held on October 19. Details below.

Join us for a special event on October 19th from 1-5 p.m. as we come together to raise awareness and support for Samantha Rouse, a loving mother of 3 children, who is facing cancer for the second time.

This event aims to raise funds for Samantha’s treatment at HOPE4Cancer, a non-toxic and integrative cancer treatment center. Samantha has already endured traditional treatments for her prior diagnosis, which have caused permanent physical damage to her body.

To help make Samantha’s new treatment a reality, we have organized an exciting lineup of activities:

  • Indulge in delicious Southern Pulled Pork BBQ Dinners with baked beans, coleslaw, and a roll for just $10.00 each.
  • Additionally, we will have a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and a bake sale with lots of great treats!
  • PLUS – join us for an afternoon filled with live music, featuring Clark Jackson from 2-4 p.m.

Your support can make a significant difference in Samantha’s journey towards recovery. Let’s come together as a community and show our love and support for Samantha and her family during this challenging time. Together, we can make a positive impact on her life and help her access the treatment she needs.
