Sayre Borough is getting ready for its annual summer paving project.
The Sayre Borough Council approved a bid from Bishop Brothers Construction and Paving for just under $396,000.
The 2025 paving project will include Cedar Street, North Lehigh Avenue, Mohawk Street, Poplar Street, Frank Street, Harris Street and Hemlock Road.
According to the Bradford Sentinel, the project is expected to take place during the Sayre Area School District’s summer break to minimize traffic disruptions, especially along two high-priority sections of West Lockhart Street — from Hospital Place to Brock Street, and from Brock Street to North Hopkins Street.
The other streets to be paved include:
Cedar Street, from 107 Cedar St. to Beech Terrace;
North Lehigh Avenue, from Bradford Street to 250 feet south of the intersection;
Mohawk Street, from Cedar Street to Larch Road and from Larch Road to Hemlock Road;
Poplar Street, from Lynch Street to Cypress Street;
Frank Street, from Sunset Street to Fordham Street;
Harris Street, from Peck Street to Frank Street;
Hemlock Road, from 117 Hemlock Road to 350 feet south.
