Sayre School Board votes against outsourcing cafeteria, custodial services

The Sayre School Board will not be moving forward with outsourcing the school district’s cafeteria and custodial services.

In a 5-4 decision, the school board voted against outsourcing at Monday’s meeting.

School board members Kevin Hadlock, Felicia Kmetz, Peter Quattrini, Bryan Roof and Tricia Blythe voted against outsourcing.

Andrew Hickey, Donald Skerpon, Debra Agnew and Ron Cole voted in favor of the resolutions to outsource both services.

According to the Morning Times, the residents in attendance applauded following the vote.

The next Sayre School Board meeting is set for June 3 at 7 p.m. in the Sayre High School Auditorium.
