The Sayre High School gym floor will be replaced this summer.

The Sayre School Board approved the renovation during its recent school board meeting. The board accepted a proposal from Wayfare Sports Floors not to exceed $295,000.

It is believed to be the first time the gym floor has been replaced since the gym was constructed back in 1967.

The school district will sell pieces of the old gym floor, including the Redskin logo and lettering, as souvenirs.
