Guthrie’s Good Grief Day Camp concluded its 20th year with another successful experience for the campers, junior counselors and adult volunteers. This camp is held for children ages 6 through 18 who have experienced the death of a loved one.
It provides an atmosphere to help them understand that their grieving feelings are normal, lets them celebrate the life of the person who has died and helps them learn coping skills.
The focus of the camp is to help children with grief and bereavement through play, art, music and activities. Good Grief Day Camp is supported by Guthrie Hospice and the Bradford/Sullivan counties Office of Mental Health.
