A 16-year-old Bradford County girl is stepping up and raising money for her baby cousin, who’s battling cancer and undergoing treatment. Judson Shepperd is just a toddler but was recently diagnosed with leukemia. To help Judson’s family afford medical bills and travel expenses, his cousin, Caitlynn Crain, planned a fundraiser. Crain is only a sophomore at Sayre High School, but she wanted to help out in a big way. Sunday, she held a spaghetti lunch at the Sayre VFW with all proceeds going toward Judson’s family. Crain says she didn’t set a goal of how much money she hoped to raise because she says any amount helps. So far Judson is responding well to treatment. His family hopes to learn soon that he’s in remission, but he will still have to undergo special treatment for at least two years.
