The Pennsylvania State Police announced the arrests of six men in a major child predator sting in Bradford County on Friday.
The sting was carried out over four days last week and included law enforcement officers from the FBI, State Police and local police departments.
Canton resident Robert Pilot has been charged with 33 counts of possession of sexual abuse of children and six counts of failure to provide accurate registration info. He was remanded without bail.
Rome resident Brad Swink has been charged with five counts of possession of sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. He was remanded on $500,000 bail. Swink was an assistant pastor at the North Rome Wesleyan Church. He has been suspended from his role at the church.
Athens resident Brandon Lantz has been charged with 22 counts of possession of sexual abuse of children and six counts of criminal use of a communication facility. He was remanded on $500,000 bail.
Rome resident Evan Hitchcock has been charged with 20 counts of possession of sexual abuse of children and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. He has been remanded on $300,000 bail.
Wysox resident Robert Michel has been charged with 11 counts of possession of sexual abuse of children and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility. He was remanded on $100,000 bail.
Wyalusing resident Calvin Shaffer has been charged with 20 counts of possession of sexual abuse of children and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility. He was remanded on $75,000 bail.
According to police, one more arrest is expected, pending the results of a digital forensics investigation.
