Susquehanna Summer Solstice Festival to welcome community with music, history and art

The Fourth Annual Susquehanna Summer Solstice Festival is ready to kick off Friday at the French Azilum Historical Site in Asylum Township. 

The full weekend of activities includes 16 concerts spanning folk, blues, jazz, rock, and country, along with artisan demonstrations and sales, historic tours, and more than 100 original paintings of the area. 

Presentations include two-person crosscut sawing by the Pennsylvania Lumber Museum, weaving and spinning events by The Cat’s Cradle Spinning Guild, and making old fashioned arrow heads through flintknapping with the Bradford County Conservation District.
