A 34-year-old Towanda man was found guilty of sex crimes against multiple children after a trial in Bradford County Court last week.

For the second time, Jonathan Rivera was found guilty of six felonies and five misdemeanors in connection with the abuse of four girls who were all between the ages of 6 and 9 when they were victimized.

Rivera was also convicted back in 2019, but that case was thrown out in 2023 due to a legal technicality. He spent four years in prison before being released after the decision from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

He was re-tried over three days last week and then it took the jury less than one hour to find Rivera guilty of all charges.

Rivera was immediately taken into custody and transported to the Bradford County Jail to await sentencing on August 15.
