Towanda man killed in Thanksgiving motorcycle crash

A Towanda man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Thanksgiving morning.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 22-year-old Briar Wright crashed his bike shortly before 4 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 28.

Wright was traveling north on the Merrill Parkway when his motorcycle left the roadway and hit a light pole.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said Wright was wearing a helmet and traveling at a safe speed at the time of the crash.

The Pennsylvania State Police, North Towanda Fire Department and Bradford County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.
