Towanda man sentenced to up to 5 years in prison for arson

A Towanda man was sentenced to up to five years in a state prison following a conviction for arson.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 61-year-old Robert Wayne Devine was convicted of arson, reckless burning, following a trial in May. He was recently sentenced to a minimum of 21 months and could serve up to five years in state prison.

Devine started a fire in August of last year that threatened numerous homes in Towanda Borough.
