The Towanda Riverfest has announced that the annual event will not happen this summer.
According to a post on its Facebook page, the decision came after they were unable to book an amusement ride company for this year. They will look to resume the event in 2025.
Towanda Riverfest officials posted that they had contacted over 30 companies from September until now and were unable to find one that was available for the event. They noted the rides bring in the majority of the public to Riverfest and without them it would not be financially feasible.
