Two-car crash sends three to hospital in Tioga County, Pa.

A two-car car accident last week in Tioga County, Pennsylvania left three people with serious injuries.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23rd at the intersection of Stony Fork Road and Pheasant Hill Road in Delmar Township, which is just outside of Wellsboro.

Police say a Chevy Malibu was making a left turn onto Stony Fork Road when it was hit head on by a Dodge Durango traveling south on Stony Fork Road.

Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage. The driver of the Malibu was transported to a local hospital for treatment and released.

The driver of the Durango was transported to a hospital in Williamsport to be treated for serious injuries. Two passengers in the Malibu were flown to Geisinger in Danville with serious injuries.

The Pennsylvania State Police was assisted by the Wellsboro Fire Department, Wellsboro Firemen’s Ambulance, UPMC Wellsboro Paramedics and Susquehanna Regional EMS.
