Waverly man arrested following chase through Valley

A Waverly man is behind bars after he allegedly led police on a high-speed chase throughout the Valley while driving under the influence on Saturday.

According to police, 24-year-old Nathan Russell Garrity was arrested after a chase that started in Sayre and ended in Waverly.

Garrity was charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude police, and misdemeanors counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as reckless driving and other traffic violations.

The suspect was held on $10,000 bail and was scheduled to return to court on Aug. 27th.
