Waverly man gets 6-12 years for drug charges

A Waverly man will spend up to 12 years in state prison after he led police on a high-speed chase while he had meth on him last year.

According to the Bradford County District Attorney’s Office, 38-year-old Cody James Blake was sentenced to a minimum of six years to a maximum of 12 years after he was convicted for multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver meth.

Blake led Athens Township Police on a chase that reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour back on May 12, 2024.

After he was arrested, police found a lock box with over 44 grams of meth in his car. Blake was also caught hiding meth in his holding cell in the Athens Township Police Station after his arrest.
