An 18-year-old Endicott woman has been sentenced to six years in prison for a weapons charge.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, Armony Murphy was found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of reckless endangerment.
Police responded to Catherine Street for a report of a dispute between two women. During the confrontation, one woman took a handgun from her bag and fired two rounds at an occupied two-family home.
An investigation revealed Murphy fled the scene in a vehicle prior to officers arriving. She was located at her residence in Endicott and taken into custody.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
Murphy will also serve five years of probation following her release from prison.
