Broome County officials now have three unconfirmed cases of E.Coli, adding to the two cases of the bacteria confirmed last week. County officials say one of the new unconfirmed cases is linked to the two confirmed cases. In those cases, reports of E.Coli led the health department to look at Nathaniel Cole Park, where the two people swam on June 23. Officials add that the other two recent reports have no connection to the other cases or Cole Park. They’ve also said subsequent tests at Cole Park show the swimming area is safe and free of E.Coli contamination. Officials have found this strain of E. Coli in eight different states since January of 2013, including Pennsylvania.
