The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force recovered more than 1,300 packages of heroin and $1,000 in cash after a traffic stop last night. Officers pulled over a vehicle driven by 36-year-old Jahi Fatiu on Route 201 between Endicott and Vestal, and a search of the car found the heroin packaged for individual use and the cash. More drugs and packaging materials were recovered in the man’s hotel room. Fatiu, who was already on parole, is now facing six felony charges related to the sale and possession of drugs. He was held overnight at the Johnson City Police Department.
