Binghamton Man Admits To Attempted Murder

The suspect in a Thursday shooting in Binghamton has turned himself in to police. 40-year-old Preston Golden of Binghamton has been charged with the Attempted Murder of Tyheem Carpenter on Wilson Street. Police allege that Golden intentionally shot Carpenter in the head.

Golden is being held in the City Police lock-up awaiting arraignment in Binghamton City Court.  The victim remains hospitalized and is expected to survive his wounds.  Anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Division at 607-772-7080.
