A Binghamton man pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree in Broome County Court on Monday.
According to the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, Terrell L. Heyward could be sentenced to life in state prison in connection with the shooting death of Sarah Hauer.
Binghamton Police responded to a report of shots fired on Exchange Street on January 11th. The investigation revealed that Heyward shot and killed Hauer, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 6th in Broome County Court.
