The Binghamton Police Department has announced an arrest following a stabbing death on Washington Street on Tuesday.
According to police, Michael W. Brutvan has been charged with murder in the second degree.
Officers responded to the Salvation Army on Washington Street for a report of a stabbing at around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. A 57-year-old male victim suffered stab wounds to his shoulder and neck.
First responders provided life-saving measures at the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
