Tim Tuefel, manager of the 2010 Binghamton Mets, has been named to coach the New York Mets Triple A farm team, the Buffalo Bisons.
The Tuefel announcement was held in conjunction with the Bison’s annual ‘Hot Stove’ luncheon today.
Wally Backman, who managed Class A Brooklyn last season, is expected to take over Teufel’s old job at Binghamton.
The Mets have not yet made an official announcement in that regard.
