Bail has been denied for the man accused of murdering two people in the Town of Binghamton last month.
At a hearing Monday morning in Broome County Court, a judge decided to not grant Aaron Powell bail while the case moves forward. Powell was taken into custody last week in Pennsylvania and was charged with two counts of second degree murder. Powell is accused of killing his estranged wife, Christina Powell, as well as Mario Masciarelli. Their bodies were found inside Christina Powell’s home on Lisi Lane in the town of Binghamton.
Powell spent four days hiding out in the Montrose area before he was arrested. He pleaded not guilty in Binghamton Town Court.
