A man is behind bars after falsely reporting a robbery to Binghamton Police. 41-year-old Harry Johnson is an employee of Joe Guardi Auto Sales on Conklin Avenue in Binghamton. He had reported to police that while opening the dealership, three men approached him with weapons and forced their way inside the building to steal an undisclosed amount of cash. Upon further investigation, Binghamton Police Detectives determined that a robbery did not occur. Johnson is now being held at the Broome County Jail on a charge of falsely reporting an incident, and grand larceny.
