An Ohio fugitive with ties to Binghamton has been arrested in Oregon on multiple charges of rape and kidnapping.
38-year-old Robert Gebhardt is from Parma, Ohio. Some people in Binghamton know him as Mark Thompson, the co-owner of 2 Rivers Printing on Clinton Street.
Oregon State Police found him last week with a 45-year-old woman listed as a missing person from Ohio.
Gebhardt is wanted in the state on 75 counts of rape and kidnapping, accused of raping a girl in his home multiple times starting when she was 13 years old. He is also facing theft, identity fraud and telecommunications fraud charges.
Gebhardt has been on the run since Sept. 2009. He will be extradited back to Ohio.
The Binghamton business he owned is currently closed.
