The state Attorney General is putting gas stations on watch as his office cracks down on illegal price gauging.  Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was in Binghamton Wednesday where he announced his office will be investigating whether gas station owners have been unnecessarily raising their prices.
Schneiderman says some gas stations have been capitalizing off of the unrest in the Middle East. He says in Binghamton, there was a 20 cent per gallon price difference at two city gas stations.
Schneiderman says he’s already identified 130 gas stations statewide that will be targeted as the investigation gets underway.
