A Broome County vacant home that was to be auction off next week, goes up in flames. A call came in around 2:20 Thursday morning to 15 Tudor Street in Binghamton. When Binghamton Fire crews arrived, the house was fully involved, and had probably been burning for a while before it was called in. They had the fire put out within minutes, but stayed on the scene throughout the morning putting out hot-spots. The home was vacant and had no electric or gas hooked up. It is owned by Broome County, and is a part of the County’s Real Property Auction taking place April 13. The city of Binghamton Fire Marshal’s office is looking into the cause of the fire.
