Binghamton High School students and staff are putting the final touches on their annual Thanksgiving dinner for the community.
Organizers expect to serve nearly 4,000 people as part of the 16th annual event, including around 2,000 at the school and another 2,000 meals that will be delivered to residences across the city for free.
Approximately 300 students, faculty and staff started preparing the meals Wednesday. The BHS dinner served 3,200 people last year.
Thanksgiving dinners will be served from 11:30am to 2pm at the school.
Several other free community dinners will be held around the Southern Tier on Thursday.
WEBO will close our offices for the rest of the week to observe the holiday. We wish you a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving! Local news and the WEBO Morning Show will return on Monday.
