A Binghamton High School graduate who made it big in the New York financial world pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit securities fraud on Wednesday. Danielle Chiesi was charged in an insider trading scheme that netted more than 50 million dollars. She’s the 16th person to plead guilty in what was a fraudulent hedge fund operation. In the early 80’s, Chiesi won the title of Miss Southern Tier Teenager. Prosecutors say Chiesi and others benefited from tips involving IBM and other companies.
