A Binghamton husband and wife returned to their east side home last night to find it on fire.  The 9-1-1 call came in just before 6:15 p.m. for a house fire at 32 Bingham Street.  The Binghamton Fire Department responded.  There were no injuries, and no one was home at the time of the fire.  Fire officials said it took them about 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze, and the house sustained heavy damage.  The homeowners, Rich and Joann Bennett, say they went to the library just before 6 p.m. to pick up a movie, as they do every Monday night.  When they returned home 20 minutes later, they saw their house of 27 years billowing with smoke and flames.  A neighbor dialed 911.  The Binghamton Fire Department continues to investigate the cause of the fire.  The Fire Department says they believe the fire started in a living room on the first floor.
