A fire early Sunday morning leaves a Binghamton firefighter injured. The injury took place after the roof of the home at 121 Eldredge Street collapsed. The call came in for the fire just before 12:30 Sunday morning. The firefighter had to be sent to the hospital, where he was later released with minor injuries. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the porch was fully engulfed in flames and the fire head spread into the front of the first and second floor apartments. It took crews more than three hours to put out the two-alarm fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
