Binghamton Man Arrested on Weapons and Drug Charges

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit have arrested Christopher Santiago, 38, of Binghamtonon weapons and drug charges.
Investigators spotted Santiago as he walked down Oak Street in the City of Binghamton.
A defaced 9mm Glock firearm equipped with a high-capacity magazine was found in Santiago’s waistband, along with 77 knotted-wraps of crack-cocaine, and $404 in cash.
A search of Santiago’s residence produced more ammunition.
Santiago was charged with three separate counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon and two counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Santiago was held in city lockup overnight awaiting arraignment.
