A Binghamton man is in the Broome County Jail accused of shooting another man in the leg early Saturday morning. Binghamton Police were called to a shooting at the Clinton Hotel around 1:45am Saturday. When they arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. That man was transported to Wilson Hospital and is expected to recover. Police arrested 39-year-old James Simpson of Binghamton and recovered a loaded revolver that they believe was used in the shooting. He is facing felony charges for assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
