The mayor announced yesterday that Assistant Police Chief Bill Yeager will serve as acting Chief of Police. Binghamton Police Officer Kristi Sager is seeking damages based on gender discrimination, and alleges she’s the victim of retaliation for refusing sexual advances made by police chief Joseph Zikuski. David said he first became aware of the allegations against Zikuski on March 3. Sager has filed a complaint with the New York Division of Human Rights.
