It’s the 47th year of a parade that brings thousands to downtown Binghamton. The city works closely with the Hibernian Parade Committee to organize the St Patrick’s Parade Day. St. Mary of the Assumption Church will host a parade day mass at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. It will start at the Court and Fayette Street intersection and head down to Court and Main to the Arthur Street intersection. This year’s parade theme is “Irish Traditions.”
That theme will be carried throughout the day through float designs. The procession will include local law enforcement and fire departments, Irish dancers, The Binghamton Kazoo Band, youth marching groups, and several pipe bands.
