The Globalistas at Binghamton University will host a campus celebration of International Women’s Day, with the discussion “Women in Entrepreneurship” at 4:30 Tuesday, Mar. 8, in Room 111 of the University Union.
The event is free and open to the public.
Assistant professor in the School of Management, Vishal Gupta, and business advisor with the Small Business Development Center, Ginny Thompson will speak about the challenges facing female entrepreneurs, and ways to address those challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs within Greater Binghamton.
A question-and-answer session will follow.
Each year on this date, events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
These range from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events to local women’s craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.
The Binghamton University Globalistas (BUGS) is a volunteer group of faculty, staff and students devoted to internationalization in a variety of forms.
