A Binghamton woman is facing felony charges after giving a false name following her initial arrest.
46-year-old Tracy Gardner was originally taken into custody after a larceny complaint from WalMart. Gardner was located a short distance from the store and brought in by police. At that time, Gardner gave a false name and signed her finger print submission under the false name.
When authorities discovered the name was a fake, she was charged with forgery in the second degree, a felony, along with criminal impersonation, a misdemeanor.
Those charges are in addition to the two misdemeanor petit larceny charges she was already facing. Gardner was arraigned in Johnson City Village Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail.
