“The Hungry Ear,” the library program devoted to the art of the short story, will proudly present a special program of Irish stories on Monday, March 28, 5:30-7:00pm, at the Broome County Public Library.
A special guest, Dr. Timothy Bridgman of the Library staff, will join the company to read two stories “The Blacksmith” and “A Wolf’s Story” in the native language of Ireland, while Judy McMahon will read the same in English.
Dr. Bridgman will also give a short talk on the language.
An additional story “The Terrible Conflagration Up at the Place” by Ray Bradbury will be read by Tim Gleason, entirely in English.
All are invited to this unique evening event, which will take place in the Library’s Exhibit Room (185 Court Street, Binghamton).
