A former field hockey coach was re-sentenced Wednesday.
Federal Judge Thomas McAvoy re-sentenced Todd Broxmeyer to 30 years in prison.
The Court of Appeals found in August that there was insufficient evidence for the jury to convict the former coach on two counts of production of child pornography and one count of taking a minor across state lines for sex.
They ordered Judge McAvoy to re-sentence Broxmeyer for the two remaining convictions: attempted production of child pornography and possession of the illicit material. Broxmeyer was given the maximum for each Wednesday at Binghamton’s Federal Court.
The 38-year-old former field hockey coach has been in a federal prison since his 2008 conviction. His attorney will appeal the new sentence.
