Binghamton University director of athletics Jim Norris will be stepping down from his position in the fall.
At a press conference, Norris told reporters that he would be retiring once an athletic director is named.
Norris said he expects to have a replacement in place by that time. A search committee has not yet been formed.
The university is also beginning a second search for a new president. Interim president Peter Magrath has agreed to stay on until December 2011.
