A candlelight vigil was held in Binghamton Thursday night to remember a man who was murdered on Sunday.
21-year-old Eric Dantzler was shot and killed while sitting behind the wheel of his SUV on Corliss Ave. in Johnson City.
Last night, nearly 200 family members and friends gathered on Conklin Ave. in Binghamton to remember Dantzler. They made their way from his girlfriend’s house to his former home on Evans St., about a 15-minute walk. The vigil ended with a release of white balloons into the air and a prayer.
Police are still looking for the man who shot Dantzler. They believe robbery was the motive behind the murder.
