Plans are being made by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs to close their facilities in the Greater Binghamton Healthcare Center on Robinson Street, and open a new and expanded facility on Court Street in Binghamton. The move is being made to not only expand the physical size of the facility, but also to allow room for expanded healthcare services. Renovations of the future healthcare facility are expected to be finished by next winter, with patients being welcomed six months after that.
