Binghamton’s city council sent a loud message to the U.S. postal service: Do not close their city’s post offices. Council members unanimously approved a resolution Wednesday to oppose the closure of the Eastview, Westview and Southview Post Offices. The postal service says it is looking at closing or consolidating the branch offices because of under-utilization. Binghamton City Councilor Charles Kramer told YNN city leaders hope the resolution sends a message to post office officials.
