The Dept. of Environmental Conservation is looking for input on a plan to clean a contaminated site in Endicott.
TCE has been found in the groundwater beneath 312 Maple Street, a former electronics facility. The Broome County-owned site now houses kitchen cabinet manufacturer J. Anthony Millwork and office space.
The DEC has proposed using bioremediation, a technique that would introduce microorganisms into the groundwater to fight contamination.
The DEC will hold a public meeting on their proposal at 6pm on Nov. 30 at the Broome County Public Library in Binghamton. The plan is open for public comment through the end of the year.
