A maintenance flight with two people aboard was aborted shortly after takeoff Thursday afternoon and returned to Greater Binghamton Airport for an emergency landing.
The CommutAir plane took off around 1 pm and turned around after the pilot reported a hydraulic problem. The plane landed without incident at the airport where emergency crews responded as a precaution.
The plane had been scheduled to fly with passengers but its early morning flight was canceled when the hydraulic problem was identified during the pre-flight maintenance check.
