The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force has announced the arrest of a man who tried selling drugs to two detectives. On Monday, two detectives were leaving a restaurant on Main Street in Binghamton after eating lunch when they were approached in the parking lot by a man asking them for directions. The man then offered to sell them the cannabis product known as hash. 30-year-old Brian Fitzgerald of Endicott was arrested on a charge of criminal sale of marijuana in the fifth degree.
A plastic jar containing hash was found in Fitzgerald’s possession during the arrest. He was released and set to appear in court at a later date.
