The National Weather Service in Binghamton New York has issued a Flood Warning for the Susquehanna River at Vestal, Conklin, and Binghamton – Washington Street.
The warning runs from Thursday night until further notice.
– Major flooding is forecast for the Susquehanna River at Binghamton Washington St. At the peak forecast, major basement flooding could begin in homes on Front street. Minor flooding of Charles place, Laurel Avenue, and Stratford Road.
– Moderate flooding is forecast for Vestal. The Endwell Mobile Home Park could flood with 4 feet of water. Houses on Kent, Shady, Verdun, Davis and Fairmont avenues will also be flooded.
– Moderate flooding is forecast for the Susquehanna River at Conklin. At the forecast peak, Route 7 in Corbettsville would be under water.
