Former Binghamton Treasurer Pleads Guilty to Grand Larceny

Patricia Schwartz, the former treasurer of Binghamton, entered a guilty plea to grand larceny charges on Thursday.
Schwartz has agreed to pay the city $17,000 in restitution as part of her plea arrangement.
An investigation was initiated after employees saw problems in her record keeping.
She was arrested last August.
She’s scheduled to be sentenced in July.
